Inspired by the classic whodunit charm of CLUE, our team is on a mission to turn every event into a mouthwatering crime scene. From New York and Chicago-style hot dogs to homemade Italian ice in criminally good flavors, our menu is as bold and unforgettable as the prime suspects behind it.
The case cracked open in 2020, when lead investigator Steven Klein and his partner-in-crime (and life) Helen Chapman teamed up with longtime associate Frank Raynor to launch Col. Mustard’s—fueled by nostalgia and a serious hunger for food that tells a story. By 2022, the plot thickened with the arrival of Mr. Ice Guy, our frosty accomplice bringing sweet justice to every culinary caper.
We believe in hard work, good laughs, and keeping cool under the Arizona heat—even when the grill’s hot and the alibis are thin. Our mission? Simple: deliver dangerously delicious comfort food without blowing your budget or your cover. Whether you’re a suspect, sleuth, or just passing through the scene, we’re here to make sure no one leaves hungry—or uninvestigated.
From local fairs to private investigations (a.k.a. parties), and murder-mystery-themed catering gigs, we roll up with flavor, flair, and just the right amount of mischief.
Steven Klein
aka "Col. Mustard"

The prime suspect behind every perfectly grilled dog, Steven Klein is the mastermind and master operator of the Col. Mustard hotdog cart. Th entire vision-- Italian Ice, hot dogs, and crime scene flair -- was drawn from a childhood dream he refused to let go. Always armed with tongs and a secret recipe, he's known for leaving a trail of mustard and satisfied witnesses. When there's a mystery to solve-- or a crowd to feed-- Col. Mustard is always on the scene.
Helen Chapman
aka "Miss Scarlet"
Owner/Operator
With a crimson clipboard in one hand and a cash drawer in the other, Helen Chapman is the cunning coordinator behind every Col. Mustard caper. She plots the marketing, orchestrates the catering, and crafts all the branded merchandise that keeps our fans looking killer. When the mystery calls for flawless execution and a flash of scarlet flair, Helen is on the scene.
Frank Raynor
aka "Mr. Green"
Operations
Equal parts flavor chemist and grill-side accomplice Frank Raynor is the brains behind the freeze. As the scientist stirring up our homemade Italian Ice, Frank crafts every batch with suspicious precision. When he's not behind the batch freezer, he's teaming up with Col. Mustard at the scene of the grill, serving up dogs and decoding appetites.
